what means DOB exactly?

I know that it means day of birth, but when is a guitar born? at the day it leaves the factory? if this is the case, how long goes EBMM pregnant with a git before it is born?

I mean, it is surely not build on one day, so how long does it take from the first cut in the wood, `til the last setup is done and it gets in a case to be shipped?

I think the easiest way to say it is that the factory is the womb. it all gets made there... and is born when it leaves...
