as for dream theaters popularity 11 years ago, no theyre not radio/commercial etc. but they did have a large fanbase, and more to the point an extremely large guitar-playing fanbase.

Yes it is. And the trem is the best on the planet. The neck is what I first noticed when I first played one. Overall, the best ergonomically designed guitar I've ever held. And it sounds killer, and looks fabulous.

The prototypes were taken on tour for scene's from a memory, and are in the NYC Dvd. that was one of the best concerts i have gone too (i was at the nyc one) I still want one of the black sparkle JP6s from back in the day

i'll just have to hope that sparkles come back in fashion

While not exactly the same, the new roasted neck EB's with the Black Sugar finish are pretty close. You really have to see a Black Sugar in person, they look fantastic!
