Well, after the unanimous result of my poll, I kept the black pickguard on my bass. However, I've ordered a smoke mirrored pickguard to try out as well.

My girlfriend had the brilliant idea of turning the clear pickguard into a nice cheesy art-piece for my music room. Yes, that is a Bass (fish) below the word Stingray.

Enjoy....

Nice, Why don't you just use that pickguard, It certainly has some sentimental value towards it and its unique.
That a nice looking fish did she draw/make that herself? Did you point out to her that rays have 2 sets of pup poles?

Thanks. Yeah....think it would be a little too "Loud" for my bass!

You know....I just noticed the Pole Pieces...lol I'm actually the one that told her each string has a magnetic pole piece...Need to get her to fix it!! :D

WOW, it looks like someone beddazled your pickguard::eek: I love bass, and bass fishing, but I think a Stingray sticker would have been cooler looking. However I'm going to agree with ekb16b, I think you should put it on your bass. If your a true man who loves his woman, you will put it on, play it out, and post picks!!! And just for the record, don't ask me to do anything close to it, my woman isn't even allowed touch my bass even though she helped pick it out. I'm afraid she will taint it somehow, it is mine and thou shall not touch it lol.

I put some "art" on my SUB 4 that is in the following picture. I have the same one on my Sterling 4 (but slightly more blue). I always get comments on it! :)

LOL...Ahhh It's already been glued to the backing.....and the damn thing looks horrible on my bass. That's how it all started. She decided to try and turn it into a Blue sparkle pickguard.....so after it was done, I put it on my bass....for about 5 seconds. BLAAAHHHH What a horrible combination....Blue Sparkle on an Autumn redburst sparkle bass.

Look here, that is a beautiful bass, but this is not about the bass, this is about your love for your woman and that no matter how ridiculously far she will go, you will support her all the way!!! You opened up a can of worms when you posted this and I believe that deep down inside you do want to put it on your bass, so man up and show some pics!!! :p
