I don't know... That looks "rosewood dark" to me...

And the tailpiece is black, not chrome - just like some of the original "first 50".

I'd say definitely a roasted neck (we know he likes them since #1 was retired). I'm not entirely convinced this isn't just a problem with video colour balance but then again it really looks like it's not.

the neck is roasted. if i'm right, this one has a finished neck and there have been two made back in 2010 in this color.

It´s roasted w/ finished neck. Around 2010-2012/13 Steve used it as a backup for #1.
I saw it two times very close: at a clinic in 2010 and when I got the chance to get backstage in 2012

Lately we´ve seen this one


So I like to see this older one again. I always wonder were all these guitars stay which are not played anymore

I believe it is because of too many refret jobs (IIRC 11 refrets?) and the neck could not handle yet another.

yes makes some sense never refretted any of my guitars so I still have a long way to go before retiring them
