I am looking to put a Seymour Duncan SH-1n in the neck and a SH-1b or a Pearly Gates in the bridge. Does anyone have some input on these two pickups? I play classic rock and worship. I need it to go from clean to mean and back again. Thanks Frank

I am finding my neck pickup is really lacking definition. I think the bridge sounds ok, but if I change the front I will change the back. BTW how close to the stings do you have the neck pickup?

welcome... im part of the worship team at my church as well and i use the Andy Timmons in the bridge and an Air Classic in the neck on a 20th silo and i tapped the coils to give me one guitar with a ton of options and it sounds great... but then again that's the tone i'm looking for from my Orange amp and Cab...

i say if you're looking to swap to fit your needs contact the guys at DiMarzio and explain what you're looking for and they'll give you a great suggestion and then call Pete Dubaldo (hes on the forum) and have him order them for ya... great guys!

Push pull tone knob would be the best way to go IMO - no need to drill a hole.
I've had a p-p pot here forever and haven't gotten around to installing it to spit the coils. Need to do that someday..

thought this was a great little writeup of info.....

Did you install a separate switch or do you just use a push pull tine knob?
Frank

i used push pulls... and they are solid! just opens up for more options if you're playing different worship songs... i tend to run my neck and bridge both tapped right into my Orange and its sweet tone (to my ears) no effects just guitar to the amp
