Yeh, rumour has it I must be mental, but I run a Marshall half stack. JCM900 300W B cab (4x12) and 100W valve top. These days it's a DSL100 since I retired the '70s JMP because it was getting a bit un-reliable. Mind you, I don't get out there so much any more, (like hardly ever!), so the weight isn't a factor. No pics 'cause we all know what a Marshall looks like.....and if I happen to do a gig as guitarist, no probs either.

I use the same set up as Grey Dad but with the smaller cabinets - suits my old guy back syndrome!

Are they significantly lighter than the full size ones? I'm a bit out of touch, don't know if they do a Markbass-like neo magnet version of the cabs.

Up until two weeks ago, this was my rig. I sold the 810Ub and bought two new GB410T-XB3 cabs in its place which are much easier to transport. They're being driven by my GBE1200 with my X2 Wireless.

I run my Bongo through Ampeg svt6, dbx compressor, sonic maximizer, into 2 red star 4x10 cabs. And these cabs are LOUD!! Now the only problem I have is trying not to be to over powering.

Mine's pretty humble. Gallien Krueger 400RBIV into a Dr. Bass 2x10, powered by a Furman power conditioner. Korg GA-30 tuner in the tuner out jack. Sound's pretty good though.

I just realized I haven't plugged into my bass rig in at least 6 years.. (that's what having kids will sometimes do to you :D )

I started playing again a bit last summer, and have just been plugging direct to a digital recorder. I suppose it's another testament to EBMM that the pickup/preamp combination sounds more than good enough direct, that I haven't missed playing through my rig (or needed to, for tone shaping.)

I've got a 7-band Trace combo with an oddball small 1x15 and horn extension cab they did for a very short time. I got it in '94 or so. I found a pic I took a few years back for insurance (the kids have since added more stickers...it's how they show their love :) )

I'll really ought to dig it out of the closet and fire it up again. Heck, I should probably just start playing more too, while I"m at it :D

There are some sweet rigs around here........ Some of you guys even make me jealous.......... I love seeing the fact that so many people here have posted various rigs, and not one person has had any negative comments on what you guys play on.

As I have mentioned, ......."I am very proud of my rig". Still even this one makes me green with envy....... I'm not even talking about the basses in the picture....... You're setup is/was(since you said you no longer have the 810) just beautiful my friend!!!!

And I'm comparing it to this.........

Your rig sucks! :D:D:D

I've caught hell for my Mesa...... I guess I got used to it.......Seeing the smiley faces I can only assume that you are just kidding..... I'll keep the tissues close by just in case you're not to help wipe away the tears.....

Before I went to the Mesa though, this is what my old rig looked like.

I searched my old photobucket account but couldn't find one with the two SVT-3 pros sitting on top to give the full effect of it. On top (PR410-HHF) was an 8 ohm cab that I ran with effects, and the bottom (PR410-HLF) was a 4 ohm used for straight tone. In away I miss that Rig......

I thought three of them might be sufficient to make that quite clear. :)

I also have a weak spot for Mesa.
I'm currently seriously G.A.S.ing for a Carbine M9 or a 400+ if one comes my way.
Or rather a Glockenklang. hm?
Argh... so much great stuff!

I wish there was a way we could dyno test all these rigs to see who has the loudest rig. Kind of like Harley does for a horsepower competition. That would be fun!

Never was a fan of the 400+,......then again I prefer hybrids over all tube.....but to each his own. I've tried the Carbine M9 through a Powerhouse 1000 cab,........It's sweet!!! Still, I like simplicity and the Graphic eq just isn't my thing. I've been thinking of looking into a Titan V-12, but even though I tend to go overboard I can't even justify the need to ever have that much power. I haven't had the luxury of test driving a Glockenklang setup, but when I come across one I'm going to see what she can do. Even being a "die-hard" Mesa guy now, I'm still loving me some Aguilar setups.

That would just be sweet!!!! I think I can rattle some rafters on my end, but I've seen a few that have been posted that I know would make sound weak.
