Hey everyone, first let me tell you guys that I'm new here. I've recently fallen in love with EBMM guitars so I decided to register here to lurk around some before I'm buying one myself.

So I'm soon buying my first EBMM but I'm having a really hard time deciding what color! I know it'll be a JP6(non-BFR) and I definitely want it fully loaded with piezo, matching headstock and custom inlays.

I'm leaning towards either the Pearl Red Burst or the Mystic Dream but recently I've gotten my eyes up for the Dargie Delight II aswell.

I love the simplicity of Pearl Red Burst and at the same time how it looks so .. detailed and beautiful.

I love the shimmer shifting effect on both Dargie Delight II and the Mystic Dream. DDII is a limited edition for '09 but I've heard some places that still has it and if I'm gonna get it I'd better get it quick. MD is still in production so it's no hurry to get that at the moment but it just looks so god damn good too!

Any tips on how to decide?!
I really would want all of them and since DDII is soon something you'll only find used on Ebay it feels like that would be the best bet - not to mention it looks totally killer! But maybe I'm wrong.. what do YOU think?

Yeah, it's leaning towards the DDII but another problem arises with that.
I don't live in the US, and in Sweden almost no resellers even sells EBMM and those who does has to special order directly from EBMM and since DDII was a limited run that won't work.

Does anyone know a store in the US that can ship internationally? Also, what does these babies go for nowadays? The regular, not the BFR.

maybe you should check out some german / european dealers or online-stores.
don´t think that a US-dealer will ship overseas.

maybe this guitar would be nice for you:

You could check with EBMM if any DDII Petruccis were sold in Sweden.

If not, you could possibly get the go ahead to buy one from a US dealer if you find a store that has one in stock (Basscentral? Dubaldo? The Perfect Guitar?).

This is their rule of thumb for colours that are out of stock and LE's, AFAIK.

However, I belive EBMM has to approve each instrument for export, and dealers can't just ship stuff overseas at their own discretion.

So find one, and ask CS/Exports. I think this is the guy you want.

Oh, I only thought US had the DDII but nice that EU got some too. I've checked most european dealers I know though. The only one I found is the one you linked to, cheers for that mate!

I almost think I like the regular PRB but that LE PRB looks quite killer too!!
Thanks again for the tip

Good idea! I'll send a mail to them straight away.
None of those had the guitar in stock, at least not on their websites, unfortunately. Only Basscentral has the DDII but it's JP7 and I want JP6.

Thanks for the link, I'll definitely check it out!

If you can find a DDII... go for it!

I'll probably do that if I find a good price!
For the record, what's the exact specs on DDII JP6? Or are they different depending on when they were manufactured, etc? Just wondering what the pickups, woods, etc. are.

They will be the exact same as a regular JP6, basswood with maple neck, but with an ebony fretboard. Keep in mind there is a sizeable upcharge for the DDII color shifting paint.

There are also BFR JP6 DDIIs, which will look almost the same but will have the rounded arm scoop and hidden under the paint is an alder body, tone block, maple top, and mahogany neck.

The BFR model will be too expensive for me, unfortunately. The regular model DDII is about 200€ more expensive than the regular JP6 so it is "overcome-able" :D

Just to get this straight then, so it's
Basswood body
The custom John Petrucci floating tremolo of chrome plated, hardened steel with solid steel saddles
Piezo
Maple neck
24 frets
[NOT]Rosewood[/NOT] Ebody fingerboard
Matched headstock
Schaller M6-IND locking tuners
Most important; DiMarzio Crunch Lab and DiMarzio Liquifire

Basically, it's exactly the same specs as the JP6 model on Music Man's website except it got Ebody fingerboard instead of Rosewood?

Thank you :)

That's correct but the piezo and matching headstock are upgrade options, it will depend on how they ordered it new whether it has those features.
