I like to play fast. Very fast.

I currently have a pack of EB 10s, Elixir 9s, and D Ad 9s sitting on my left here. As far as I know my JP came from the factory set up with 9s, so if I go with the EB 10s, will they:

1. Require any adjustment?

and

2. Will it be harder to play fast?

And lastly, when I change strings, do I need to do them one at a time like any other floating bridge or can I just take all the strings off and do it?

"1. Require any adjustment?"

I Think So...

good luck :)

"2. Will it be harder to play fast?"

Well I Just Changed My Strings From 10's To 9's 2 days ago and it does not effect the speed or way i play.....

It will only be hard to play fast if it was hard to play fast in the first place.

It will require a bit more effort for things like vibrato, but you may find that playing fast is a bit easier because of the string tension.

You have to block the trem if you want to take all of the strings off at once.

I use a folded up paper towel. Do a dive bomb and stuff the paper towel under the back of the bridge and let it come back. Now you can take all of the strings off. Otherwise the trem drops down into the trem cavity and you can damage the paint under the bridge.

Use whatever strings *you* are comfortable with, as long as they're EB strings. ;) j/k I've been using hybrid slinkys and love 'em.
