I am pretty new to guitar - but I just invested in a Martin. The Martin comes with 12 gauge strings and I am having a heck of a time fully depressing the strings.

Does Martin make acoustic strings that play more like electric guitar strings? I enjoy playing the 10 gauge Slinky strings on my Strat.

Thank you.

I have used mostly Ernie Ball Super Slinky for about 17 years I think on my electrics no matter what I played. I did have a Taylor acoustic that I bought Martin strings for and I also strung my most recent Ibenez acoustic with Martin gauge 10 strings. I hear EB makes some great acoustic strings as well. I stick with EB. Love em.

One more thing. Strings are to your liking. In my opinion. I have heard of guys using different soap on there hands so the tone will not be tainted so I guess you have to try many to find out what you like. I got lucky ... I found EB super slinky and stuck with them. I have used d'addario and a few others but always like the super slinky best.. of course with acoustic it's been Martin strings.
