Oh,Strummer. You're gonna get us all in trouble with this one. I use Ernie Balls on Fender (fretted) basses(currently a total of one bass). The strings on my SRs comes from BP's "golf-buddy"'s company. I guy named Jim, if I remember correctly. I use a British brand for fretless. Three string-brands in total. So there, that's my shameful testemony.
I was using regular slinkies before I got my first MusicMan bass. I switched to DR for a short while but kept breaking them. Then I went looking for new strings, saw the cool Hot Pink and Black packaging on the Super Slinkies and made the switch. Nothing but Super slinkies for me.
I use EBMM strings on all my MM's and on most of my non-EBMM's. In fact EBMM strings kept me frrom selling my old P, they brought new life to that baseball bat!
I use Slinkys on all 3 of my basses. I'm going to use EB strings on my guitars once my supply of "other" strings dries up, but that's taking a long time since I rarely play guitar.
Ti Jazz Flats. Then I switched to Elixers and really like them. I have a set of DR HighBeam Flats coming. I like trying different strings, but I always seem to come back to Slinkys.
I use EB strings on my SR5 only, right now. I use other brands on my other fretted basses, but when I need strings for them, I will be buying Slinkys of some kind.... except for on the fretless, I like what is on there now very much.
