What Strings for your Ray?

I was just wondering what strings (EB or any other brand) you guys are putting on your StingRay. I'm currently using Rotosound Swing Bass strings right now.

Regular Slinky's for me on the MM's right now. I have DR's, Steinberger DBE's and Rotosounds on the others.

I like Power Slinkys and regular Slinkys.

Gives a nice darker tone.

Flats: the one that has the same gauge as the factory slinkys that come with the bass. They sound lovely, even after a year and 2 months. I might even say they sound lovelier

I love EB flats, but recently went back to rounds. I like Power Slinkys, and D'Addario XL's on my Stingrays.

I'm always trying different strings on my 'Rays. Right now, I've Ken Smith stainless/tapered rounds on my 'Ray5H and GHS Pressurewounds on my 'Ray4HP fretless. Doesn't matter as I'll have something totally different next time tho.

Coated Hybrid Slinky's on my Ray. I also have a set of Group III flats for when the mood strikes.

On SR4H I was using a Super Slinky set (45-100) then tried the Group III Flats (45-100) and I just love the tone of the flats on this bass. I have a Coated Super Slinky set (45-100) that I want to try.

Funny thing is that every time I go to change out the flats I end up listening to them "one more time" before switching and end up never switching

At this point I may end up putting the coated one on my Bongo to try them out.

Flats for my fretless, but my new stingray HH will be delivered with slinkys. Never used them before, but I am thinking they will give me the dynamics for multiple occations if I have both handy.

Ha ha I had that going for a while with flats on my Jackson Kelley Bass but the strings got very old and all I had were round-wounds to put on. I wish there was a way to instantly switch a bass between the two ha ha.
