I grew up playing Boomers but I'm curious what are the best strings on a MM stingray..

I'm playing edgy Rock/Punk mostly pick but fingers too, No slapping. I like to hear how my bass sounds ---> not just hear there is bass in the mix if that makes any sence. looking for strings that are strong and last ?

Hey Phatduck thanks for the opinion on the Hi-Beams I will defenitely try them, are you fingers or pick?

hey also this is off subject but I'm curious what your opinion of the sterling and stingray's sound with the punk tunes, do you find one cuts through better? I'm wondering about live stuff and if they run me direct. when you play punk shows you know that alot of times theres no sound check and you have go direct and use your cab as a monitor so in that situation I wonder if the sterling would be better, I have played both in a store side by side and found the Ray to have a much more fat bassy sound and the sterling was a brighter and single coil jazz sounding with the EB big sound mixed in.
