What style of Music / Currently playing with a group?

Currently play in a cover band (see my sig), playing a wide array of bar favorites, as well as stuff we like.

Previously played in a pop-punk band called G-WHIZ.

Just curious about the style of music (rock, country, blues, christian, oldies, etc.) that is your main focus now. Also, are you currently playing with a group? This may make an interesting discussion.

Well as far as me, I am playing in 2 bands. The first is Christian Rock. This one is new and just getting off the ground. We don't have all the members yet, still auditioning people. I have 2 very blessed and talented guitarists that really smoke on guitar that I know will stay. The second band is Praise and Worship. This band in already playing out and we have a "Rockish" overtone. I love playing music that brings glory to the one that made all things. Thanks guys for sharing your information about your styles. I encourage all to respond to this thread, nice to know a little more about all our brothers here. Blessings to all.

I play wed - sat night at a club just north of atlanta in the house band. Mostly top 40 country. I hate the music, but I love the guys I play with. They are true musicians and friends. I also play in a jazz/fusion band a couple times a month with a couple of the same guys. In my spare time occasionally I do session work. I play several instruments, so I normally don't get bored too much in the session work.
I also sell real estate full time to support my addiction aka music.

I recently joined my friends band Sugarhappy Diabetics because his bassist never made it to any practices. We mostly play vintage punk kind of stuff like sex pistols and ramones style but I like to spice up the bass a little more with plenty of fills and scales.

I currently play in a "jam" band, which is the best way I know to describe us. I also play in my school's jazz band. Also, I've played in a ska band, a punk band, and in many church worship bands. Now that I think about it, I've been playing in at least one band ever since I was like 12 (I'm 20).

Most of it was written before 1972. Led Zep, Hendrix, Doors, Cream, older blues. Also a fair amount of SRV and a few newer songs by Jet, Lenny K., Kenny Wayne, etc.
My wife says the name of the band should be "Fat Old Guys Playing Music Nobody Wants To Hear".
