I see a LIII in your near future! Haha. Yeah women man. They just stop all the fun! Only reason I haven't ordered myself a JPXI or JP 12 yet is because of my fiancé. We're not only getting married this year(which we have to pay for) but were planning on buying a house. Honestly never in my life have I had so much money saved. It feels good but I also want my toys!

Haha that were my thoughts to ;) Can't say my wife stops all the fun, but with the GAS EBMM is creating it's becoming a bit more difficult... Get your point when you say that you also want your toys, feel the same ;) Getting married... great news!!! Congrats!!

TNT a suprise like this would not be appreciated ;)

My very first guitar was a rented RED Framus acoustic - really a fairly nice instrument. Then I bought some import from a pawn shop with the name GHI on the headstock - it was junk. Soon after a Kalamazoo, and then my first good guitar - a Fender Tele that was sunburst with white binding, rosewood board. That was all back in the late 60's...

Jump ahead to 2007 when I picked up my first EBMM - a Axis (not SS) hardtail in trans red. Its been all EBMM guitars since!!!!

My first "good" or "real" guitar was a Kramer Baretta, black with one bridge slanted EMG81. It had the Hockey stick headstock (which I still have). It needed a fret job so I had to replace the neck with a Kramer American neck (had the pointed headstock). I loved that thing!!

Sadly, I sold it some 20 years ago for some unknown reason. Then recently I saw her hanging in the same Local Guitar shop I originally sold her to 20 years ago. I knew it was her and soon as I picked her up. Same marks here and there. Same stain on the neck from chording. Even the Serial number came back to me in a flash when I looked at it.

But she was a bit more beat up of course from more recent use. She now had a ton of Buckle rash and more ding marks. I should have just left with her but did not have very much money at the time so I passed. oh well. Maybe we'll meet again someday?

Since then I've had other new loves!! EBMM products have taken her place! hee hee.

Harmony Rocket hollow body with 2 PAF-looking pickups in it. My cousin found it down the block from her house sitting with the trash awaiting the garbage man. I had been telling her how I had wanted to teach myself guitar after watching a couple of high school buddies play not long before that but I didnt' have one and couldn't afford to buy one. This was the mid 80's and the guitar in my avatar pic above was the very first brand new guitar I've ever owned which I bought in October of 2010. The one in between is a Hondo Strat copy with tiger stripe black and white paint job and a Kahler trem. I still have that one.

My first guitar was a beat up classical acoustic I paid 50p (75 cents!) for and still have somewhere! My first electric was identical to this flame/dragon/skull covered monstrosity...it was horrid sounding, the quality was awful and it was as cheap as it looked! I kept it a matter of months before picking up a much more tasteful "Nuno-esque" Washburn strat!

Now I'm lucky to own decent gear; EBMM, PRS, Fender CS, Gibson CS and Collings where the only flames are in the maple!

My first electric was an Ibanez Studio. When I bought it I had been playing a cheap nylon string for 6 months and was almost about to quit playing altogether because I just couldn't get ahead. However...I bought it, took it home and suddenly I could play the F chord in "Hope of deliverance" by Paul McCartney. That was exactly what I needed back then. And now 19 years later I can even play the D minor after the F ;-)
First Ball was a pearl redburst JP6.

Great post. Nice first guitar there. What do you currently play on?
I´m mainly playing my 2 EBMMS (Morse & AL). According to them I have a Rockinger Telecaster (Rockinger is a German company comparable to Warmoth; they sell guitars and parts - I built this Tele from parts) and an old Strat-copy which is my Rage-Against-The-machine-guitar with a Killswitch (My band is playing some RATM-Tracks :) ) The Morse and the AL are covering mainly everything I need.

Just curious to know what type of guitar was your first guitar? Where is it now? What turned you onto EBMM guitars?

My first guitar is a junky Hohner Strat copy. I still have the body and neck although the neck was the unfortunate victim of my scalloping practice.
As far as EBMM guitars, I knew about them but will admit that I wasn't crazy about them. They looked so different from what I was used to seeing. One day I was at the music shop playing around with all of the different guitars and I decided to try an Axis for the heck of it. I'll never forget that day because I've never fallen in love with a neck like that before. I thought the JP was a very odd looking guitar as well and gave it a try. Then I finally got what it was all about. Now, EBMM are the only guitars that get me excited.
I regret selling my JP7 through a moment of weakness. This year I'm ready to get one or two more Balls.

Get a JP6! Awesome little collection you've got there. I'm thinking I might get myself a Y2D here soon. I really like the way they sound and they look stunning!

My first was from Sears. A Tele copy.

There were two more after that, a F****r Bullet and an I****z RG.

My first REAL guitar was an EBMM EVH, 1994. With one exception, nothing but EBMMs ever since.

My first guitar many moons ago was a B.C.Rich Strat. Then I got into Ibanez for quite a while; had about 25 total in my collection, and a few Fender telecasters. I picked up an EBMM about 15 years ago and played it (a friend had an EVH or Axis), never looked back since that day. My first EBMM that I've owned was a bare bones JP6. Since then, I've had several BFR's in and out of my possession, still have one of those BFR's, several loaded JP6's, and a stealth JP7. Now, I'm left with one JP6 loaded, a BFR, and now paying off the balance on a Natural Axis. Music Man totally rocks the socks out of the rest!

Fist guitar... not exciting here, an Ibanez acoustic... Still have it actually... using it while camping. 2nd guitar was electric. It was a slightly better version of Today's Ibanez AX40s or whatever they are. My dad has that one.
