The luke neck feels real good and the single coil emgs on that thing sound very sweet, especially the middle coil stacked with the bridge; very glassy sounding; awesome on clean & blues tones.
The silo sounds real good too, but you don't like the neck, so............
Never played the 20th, so I can't help you.
I briefly owned an rosewood axis supersport and loved the neck, but the sound did not suit me; wasn't bad, just didn't suit my tastes.
Played a regular morse and although it's pickup config. makes it very versatile, can't say that any of the positions were overwhelmingly different than the others.
But with the luke, you could def. hear the difference.
I'd say based on what you r looking for, go for the luke.

You guys keep suggesting the AL but he said that the silo neck was too fat for him so the AL and ASS necks will be way too fat for him, I think the silo neck is somewhat on the thinner side but if its too big for your tastes then go with the luke, different than the JP but thinner than the silo with a touch of V to it, also the JP will be wider -

Son, just get an Albert and be done with it. You know its the best single coil axe IN THE UNIVERSE. So stop asking and GO BUY ONE. If you dont like it i'll buy it from you.

If not, go the Silhouette Special, it has some of the great SSS tone of the AL, and you can rock out good if you get the humbucker. I must say that the AL responds really well to gain, the pickups dont buzz and dont fart out with heaps of gain, WHAT AN AXE!

come on Spud, put yer 2 cents in mate. GO THE AL!

Is there any difference between a 2005 Silo Spec, and a 2007 Silo Spec?

I might picked one up used because the price seems right...

There is no difference between the 05 and the 07's.

There are a bunch on the bay right now. You might get a good deal. Also try using Phatty's Craigslist crawler.

Silo Special is an awesome guitar. My first EBMM and not my last.

Hmmmm ... AL or the Silo Spec?
Jagged, get 'em both ... go to Long and Mcquade and order both. When they arrive, arrange a lay-away for whichever one you think can wait on:D

L&M has a black Silo Spec behind their counter, a Luke hanging on the rack by all the fenders, and a Sub hanging around near the amps...

I dont' like L&M much, they're great, and I've got a few buds there, but for guitars, i'm a guitarshop person

cool - I hear ya. but sometimes ya gotta shop around:D I got one of my Balls from L&M and then got the other @ Guitar Shop.

As for L&M, I tried the Luke - it plays real, real nice. And the black Silo Spec is nice - don't understand why they're hidin' it behind the front counter ....

I like L&M only because it's close, they do have osme nice guitars and stuff. I agree, the vintage burst luke there is quite nice. it's a used one i think, someone had it for 4 days and returned it or something.... the silo spec is pretty new there...but they don't seem to get a lot of eb's in there which is why i like guitarshop... they've got 6-7 the last time i was there. and t hey're all so pretty....
