Is it solid like the Bongo and SR4? Someone tell me before I see for myself. Also, while I can see how to remove the knobs (set screws), how do I remove the lever switch doohickey? Just yank it off like most similar switches?

I thought the only hole was around the knobs/pre. and that the area around the pup was still solid? hmm . You kinda get that feeling when you tap on the pickguard, it onyl sounds hollow by the knobs.

Yes, you're right. I've seen a couple of pics of SR5's from people who 'modded' the PG. The body was solid except 'round the preamp and knobs.

It's solid except for the pre-amp cavity

hmm are the new HH and HS SR5s the same way? I know the Sterlings and StingRays are rear routed, I wonder if the SR5 is the same way. Oh figgy!

Mine seems like it is only hollow around the knobs, like the picture above ^ Because it feels very solid around the pups and then sounds hollow by the knobs.
