So, to answer the question, "what's better than a Bongo?" I (also) say, "two Bongos".
I've got a bongo 4HS and a bongo 5HS And I love them both. There's also a 1994 stingray 4h and a 2000 Stingray 5 in the arsenal and I have major issues deciding which to take to gigs. Nothing sounds like the bongos tho, especially with Cobalts on--absolutely fantastic basses.
