musicmen,

i have been offered a sr5, no. 56286, which means it's a 95. The owner says i should name a price. The bass has a lot of playerwear and sounds great. What would you think, how much?

check out what 5 stringers are going for in the for sale thread and on ebay...non special edition ernieball musicman basses generally go used for about the same no matter how old or new the bass is

Ebay: Done that, recently they were sold for between 650 and 1000 USD, which seems to be a broad range. I thought I should get the pro's opinion as well, therefore I have posted here ...

Since you live in Europe , might try something like 700 euro's

(that's what I would offer initially)

I think that's a fair price if it's in a good, playable condition :)

Ask the buyer how much he wants to close a deal. That's how much you offer him if you feel comfortable with the price. He already has a number. He's hoping you offer him more.
