Hello everyone, I'm the colorblind guy who posted a few months ago about the finishes on the JP6 (namely Mystic Dream) since I can't properly see these damn things, lol.

You all were very helpful then, in the meantime I had to make a new name because I could not remember my info and couldn't find a way to recover it

...anywho, lol, I was curious if you could describe Onyx finish in relation to normal color names, it looks dark to me but it could be grey, black, green, I just cannot tell!

I have my first EB on the way (SHOULD be here this week I hope!) which is a regular loaded JP6 in black sugar and roasted neck...I decided to just order one since I could never try one out in person without buying a plane ticket to somewhere....but then the JPXI caught my eye on the MM website today, and it looks like a killer guitar. The JPX always sounded awesome on paper but I just don't like purple, lol.

Onyx* is black with sparkles, kind of like Black Sugar but a tad bit more grey - I think!
I must point out that I have only seen the pictures of it and not seen one in person so perhaps someone else will be able to give a more accurate description but to me it looks a tad bit more greyish(but still very black), sparkles aswell as perhaps a little less blank than the Black Sugar.

I do think it looks absolutely baller though! On another note, I'm wondering when we'll start seeing these in stores.. I haven't seen a single one yet. Have they not been released yet?

I'm sure Ull b seeing plenty of onyx around here in the next few months. Seems like a graphite, blackish color. Black seems the color of choice of late given the roasted & soon to b released jpxi & game changers. Gonna b a fun few months as these start rolling in.

Thanks a lot gentlemen! I was figuring on it being a weird black or grey moreso than green...I think it looks cool either way, lol. Graphite seems to be a good description from what I can tell.

Onyx, is a very dark rich and deep black, general very shiny with a slight hint of sparkle, nice color and EBMM make the best black colors on the market!!
