Purpendicular is indeed a great album as is the subsequent release Abandon. They have quite a different sound with Morse rather than Blackmore. Almost like a different band really - don't make me decide which I like better.

Stunning. I don't know whether it makes me want to run out and get a Morse or to sell both my Silos. Steve is a master. It's the small nuances in his playing that gets me, and he makes it look so easy.

Difficult one this. I seem to have managed to avoid Morse Deep Purple, partly by design partly just by accident. The problem is that Blackmore is one of my all time top three favourite guitarists and for me Purple have always been Blackmore.

Now Morse is a great player but it's just not Purple, Maybe I just need to get over it and look on them as a completely different band, if they are good they are good simple as that. Maybe time to check out Purpedicular!
