Yes Ozzy, but that is a special deal I made with Zack.....I had to really insist on 15% discount when Zack wasn't there. They kept saying we could only do 10%....on a trade.....But if you are persistent....it is available....Most sales associates....won't do it...You need a sales manager...in my experience....I did it on all 3 trades.....

Yep,
I was standing right next to you when Zack said, " Yeah, we can always do 15%".

By the way, I walked into GC earlier and without naming a specific item I asked the salesperson if he would still be willing to do the $30 off any $199 item coupon that expired yesterday and he refused. I guess I'm sticking with MF lol.

Talk to one of the managers, I got $500 (15%) off my JP6 that I just picked up. I buy stuff from Guitar Center all the time, and they'll even give you the discount after the coupon's expired if you ask the right person.

fwiw - the coupon was extended through today, so why that guy didn't give you the coupon, I have no idea...As far as deals are concerned, some items literally can't be discounted any more than they are (without GC LOSING money in the deal). Every time a sales person gives you a deal, it comes out of their commission...remember that....when they make a deal, the sales person is the one losing....however, if the store has an item discounted so much that theres not much else that can be done, they usually just can't. So, sometimes it's not asking the right person, but whether or not a deal CAN be done on that item.

Just to let you guys know, if you shop in the used/clearance section they are always willing to drop the price depending how long the store has had it. I have literally saved hundreds off their clearance prices just by throwing out ridiculous numbers, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt but it doesnt hurt to try. I always shop them by looking in the clearnce first
