Honestly, I have no idea and it's a deciding factor on what I purchase. Any picture's or even if you tell me the difference would help. :)

Sapphire Black is more of a "pearl" color if you know what I mean, plus it's a tiny bit blueish at certain angles. More exciting than plain black IMO.

Check my sig - my JP is Sapphire Black. Black is well...black...none more black. SB is more of a dark dark gray, with slight sparkles and very slight purple and blue overtones. It's still one of my favorite colors...

From what I can judge myself, having seen both on the MM website, Sapphire black looks a bit more matte, and a bit greyer in colour. It's a bit less shiney.

I could be mistaken, though. :p

Edit: Greyer. Doesn't seem less shiney now that I rechecked... God knows what's in the water here...

Exactly. Sapphire Black has pearl/flake, while Black does not.

Sapphire black can reveal a dark blue tone from certain angles as in the pic below:

You can see the contrast between the black case velour and the bluish tone

the headstock shows the bluest example

That is too cool guys! Thank you so much!

So this is what I am thinking, a Morse in Sapphire Black with the Black pearloid pickguard. Sounds pretty cool eh? I hope that I can order it soon, maybe in a couple weeks. :D

Sapphire Black is amazing! It's one of those mysterious chameleon type colors...cant wait for my Sapphire Black LUKE :D. Pete's pic of the Bari Silo is a great example of what it looks like in person. Sapphire Black Morse will be awesome! Go for it!
