this's been discussed to death probably. But I did get any thing by searching the forum so,
I wonder why EBMM doesn't offer any guitar model with a mahogany body? is there a specific reason that they don't like using mahogany? too heavy? Ash (not swamp ash) is not much lighter than mahogany, afaik
I would love to see a axis SS w/ mahogany body and MM90. drooooool!

Nothing's wrong with it.
I wouldn't rule out never seeing one in the EBMM line though.
I'm sure it's simply about demand, economics, sound.......

Not too long ago the factory made a Mahog. Silo for BP. It's soooo sweeettt!!!

That guitar sounds so nice...But I have to say, I think the 20th Silo sounds better. The combo of woods etc make that guitar just sing.

That is absolutely beautiful!

(Starts Jedi Mind Trick): Come on BP, you know you want to sell it to me.

If only that would work...hehe...:p

I just hope my 20th has some flame or quilt on it.
I saw two on ebay and one of them was very very plain.

yeah i've seen those on ebay, to be honest i'd be happy actually with mine if its like those, even though they were kinda plain, still very nice, i'm not getting the upgrade top so i wouldnt expect an unreal quilt or flame. Though, my Sunburst Axis SS seems like a great quilt to me, and its just a standard top, whereas i've seen other standard sunbursts look very plain and normal, so i guess we'll just have to wait and see what our 20th Silo's non-upgrade will be like! I'm sure it will sound and play amazing, plus you just dont see any bad EBMM tops, they all look fantastic, lets hope we get just a little bit lucky though!!!

I didn't pay extra for the upgrade top. Therefore I will be content regardless of how plain the top will be on my 20th. I do have my fingers crossed though.

But I just can help my self from thinking how beautiful the top is on yours Paul, especially compare to this one on ebay. The photograph is bad, but even when you compare to the other 20th this seller has for sale on ebay, it's rather plain.

thanks songman-----I'm very pleased with the 20th---without a doubt the best guitar purchase I have ever made. And the necks on the 20th and the Luke have crazy birdseye on them. Thats the beauty of figured wood tops and necks they are all completely different-----it makes each guitar unique in ways that painted bodies cannot. That being said----I'm a total sucker for sparkle finishes too---go figure!!!!!!!
