Recent purchases from others have led me to REALLY want a Cabernet Pearl and Rosewood necked anything....first choice would be an Axis Super Sport...then a JP.

That would be a dream Axe for me.

I pretty much have it.

Im using a 2009 Silo with a maple fret-board and tremolo and non matching headstock. the following modifications I have done so far are.........

Dimarzio Andy Timmons in the bridge
Dimarzio Area 67 in the middle
Dimarzio Air Norton in the neck
No Load Tone to bypass the tone control ( I kept the stock tone cap)
Graph Tech Saddles (getting installed after this new set of Dunlop strings dies)
Tremol-No
pearl buttons instead of the metal ones on the tuners (like the JPs have)

I really think EBMM is onto something great with the whole "tone block" idea. Id like to see it taken a step or two further.
Id like to have a combo of the following woods........

1. Ash
2. Alder
3. Mahogany
4. Maple
5. Rosewood

And Not just run of the mill versions of these woods. TOP GRADE HIGHEST QUALITY WOODS!
I guess Id have 2 strips of Ash 2 strips of Alder and 1 of Mahogany. The outside would be the Alder. The inner 2 strips would be Ash. The inside would be Mahogany. The top would be Maple (flame or quilt of course) as well as the neck would be maple and the fretboard rosewood. Possibly a neck thru on this (maybe). All in all, I really like all those woods but Ive never played a guitar that had ALL 5 in one guitar. I think that combo could make a really great sounding guitar.
I also wouldn't mind a slightly thicker body as well. And a thicker brass trem block. I think that brass is definitely a must have for any guitar with a trem! Anyone else agree with me on that? Id really like to see an A/B with any guitar that first has a steel block then the same guitar playing the same thing but with a brass block. I bet there is a pretty big difference. So yea If I ever get a "true" fully custom guitar built for me those will be the woods used.

Yes...it's scary how good that looks. BP and crew really nailed it with this one.

Hey that's mine! It is really nice, but so is your DD Luke and a natural ASS. Wish I was around when the Dargies were out.

I haven't seen any other Axis with rosewood necks yet? Other than the Rosewood top ones.

For me, it'd be a JP6/7 with a mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck (tung oiled, or something similar), and an ebony fretboard. Matching headstock & piezo -- no inlays.

OK I came up with my dream EBMM guitar, for real:

JPX in Dargie Delight II finish with solid rosewood unfinished neck, all chrome hardware, and large original Dargie martini inlays complete with olives in the glasses.

BP, Dargin, and all: I challenge you to make this one :)

Love my Axis, but if I could have a "dream Axis", it would be one with a floating floyd, Dargie green, and coil taps. I am very satisfied as-is though.

Too funny; I loved DJ with Beautiful Creatures (their first album should've been huge BTW, great songs), and after seeing them live I got the Axis bug. Saw him again with Sixx AM a couple years ago, and that's when I bought my first Axis, since foolishly sold (needed the coin). I thought h had a great, unique sound.

Anyways, I just got the Sixx AM CD... Damn... DJ Ashba makes me want to buy an Axis!!!

For me it would have to be a JPX with the specs of it, like the black hardware, ebony fretboard, the body style and chambering, but it would have ruby red burst quilt finish and the color would continue to the back of the guitar, like in the Koa version. That would be the shizz! :D Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE the barolo finish and still after month and a half I keep going back to just look at the guitar. It's so beautiful. But I can only imagine how beautiful the ruby red burst would look like continuing in the back and having black hardware+ebony fretboard.

Natural maple Silo SSS, vintage white PG and plastic parts with a petrucci trem. Don't even know how it would look an a silo, but it would be a heavenly tone/tremolo combination.

Other than that, the original morse and the older silos are pretty close to the 6-string guitar heaven for me.

I’m still in love with Purple. I love my new BCB Axis but if I could of... I would of bought Purple Axis.

There is a store just outside of Toronto with 2 Amethyst BFR Axis. They have high prices.
I would have loved one but they were about $700 more than I paid.
