How can you have a favorite MM model and still have multiple choices?

The forum (collective) favourite does not necessarily quantify into an individual's favourite. As you can see, there is one clear leading model thus far. Had I limited it to only one choice, then you'd see different results where people would be forced to choose only one, but some secondary affection for other models might be left out.

i'm not. i mean musicman was around but the evh and the axis really pushed musicman into the spot light. i mean its still thought as the best guitar musicman has ever made and evh has endoresed. musicman was smart enough to strike there deal so they would retain the rights as did peavey with the 5150. i bet that really chapped ed's ass lol.

That's interesting since I think BP has said that it's the slowest seller in the line. Wonder what accounts for the different numbers? I thought it would come out more in the order of JP6, ASS, Luke, Morse, AL, JP7, Silo, Silo Special. Maybe cuz knuckleheads don't represent the buying public at large. Dunno.

I am also shocked but happy about the outcome. I love to see the Silhouette shine. I think you're right, Candid, we knuckleheads don't represent the overall buying public.

In all fairness, the standard JP6 and BFR model JP6 combined total 38 votes. My guess is that if the poll didn't differentiate standard and BFR models (e.g. Luke & BFR Luke, JP6 & BFR JP6, AL & BFR AL) the JP6 would have come out on top.

Ah, of course, MB. That would explain it.

Plus, Ernie is only one vote but owns roughly half of the JP guitars ever made :p

wanted to vote for the old EVH, but there was no option for it, so hit the Axis button and the regular JP6.

it´s always the same, while playing the EVH it feels like this is the guitar made for me - perfect rocker, fast neck, great sound. than i take the JP6 and it´s nearly the same feeling but with the JP, the desire grows in me to do more faster solo-licks as with the EVH.

The Silhouette HSH is still it for me. It's a guitar that can truly do anything, and do it incredibly well!

You have to remember, that the toughest bit of selling a product is making sure your target audience "gets it". We are forum members. We know why we're here. So naturally, we do get it, and thats why we recognise the magic of the Silo Spec. Thats why we own that particular guitar. Thing is, how can EBMM convey what we get to the masses out there? That's the tough bit.

I still get people asking me why play a Silo Spec when I can play a real strat? Then I hand them my guitar and they go "oooh... NOW i know why...":D

mmmmmmm
i think you should do this again the group them together a bit more
eg the JPs together, both Lukes together, silos together etc.
its a bit broad otherwise

I agree - there was no Luke 2006 LE, put all the lukes, all the JP6's, JP7's etc into discrete categories. Then I think to be fair MM should send us all one of each so we can make an informed decision...
