What's your opinion?......... opl bass

Hi im a new member in this forum and also im new playing ernie ball family yesterday i bought a opl bass so i want to now your opinion about this bass.

I have the Tony Levin OLP.

It's a very nice entry level bass.

Not a MusicMan either though.

I keep mine on a stand in my practice room. It's the one I usually use when I'm practicing.

Hi thanks for write me. I bought this bass cause i want later buy a ernie ball music man. So i want to now if i made a good desicion first buy a OLP and try how good is and then buy an ernie ball music man.

Jump on in and get yourself a MusicMan. Great quality instruments. The OLP is a good one but won't show you what an MM is all about.

Welcome! I recommend trying out a EB SUB sometime. Great, solid construction and awesome sound for a good price. The used prices on eBay and such are even better!

midopa is correct... i don't have a stingray but a sub4. got it used with hard case for the equivalent of $350US. that's a smokin' deal imo

still not a real ray but good enough for me

I also held off the Stingray GAS by buying a SUB4, and it is GREAT! I'm looking forward to a couple of more bonuses from work so I can buy a Stingray and move the SUB to backup duties. I played both the OLP and SUB in the shop, and the SUB was more comfortable and seemed to be just a better build.

I can tell you that I had to file the sides of the frets down on my OLP when I got it to keep it from tearing up my hands. Something you'ld never have to do on a MusicMan product.
