My Stingray collection includes two '79 Stingrays, a 20th anniversary ray and an '87 stingray body waiting patiently for me to get a Status graphite neck. Oh yeah, I also bought the infamous 'diamondplate' stingray, and will be refinishing the body soon. My main squeeze is the Olympic White '79

I have several other basses that get playing time, just depends on my mood and which songs we are playing each week.

MTD 535
Reverend Rumblefish 5 XL
Modulus Quantum 5 fretless
Rick Turner Electroline 5 fretless
G. Gould GGi5
'76 Fender Jazz
'62 RI Fender USA Jazz
'62 RI Fender MIJ Precision

And I just picked up a KYDD Carry On EUB which is pretty cool.

The white '79 can whip any of my other basses a$$es any day of the week.

Wow....saying a SR5 can whip a MTD 535? Them's some strong words. I am a full on believer in my Stingray BUT that MTD has just got to be unbelievable......What is the wood configuration on her?

Top wood set flat, body wood and neck wood bumped a bit, and fingerboard cut just a tad.

I kid, I kid. :p

If I'm not using my Stingray, which is rare, I'm rockin out with my Geddy Lee Jazz bass. I have a project P-bass in the works as well which will definately be getting some play once its complete.

i have a fretless peavey B-quad that is currently my "2nd" bass at each gig.

You're the second "Geddy Lee" entry...........I love those.

The"other" bass consists of a USA custom guitar bass neck, similar to a telecaster hooked up to a Koa body with SD pickups, all in a P bass look. Nothing on the bass is Fender. Love the neck..

Lakland 55-94 and a 68 p-bass. It's funny, I paid more for either one of those than i did my sr5 or bongo, and my sr5 is still my fav. I have an early 90's Ibanez sound gear 6-string that i love in the studio and its my cheapest guitar, but it was a gift to me when I was younger and I have that emotional bond thing with it.

When I'm not playing my SR5, I use a curbow fretless, but that will soon be replaced by a new bongo 5 fretless.
