When can I be content!

Well as maybe some of you know I am awaiting my first EBMM bass this month and today I checked my local guitar shop website to see if they had a shipment in... well turns out they got their first EBMM shipment in January 3rd so I rushed over there hoping with all hope my beloved Bongo had arrived.

I get there and the guys say "Hey Mike! We had an EBMM shipment in today too!"
with my hopes steadily rising they ask me "You are ordering a Bongo from us right? Well it wouldn't happen to be a 5 string 2006 LE would it?" I calmly respond "No mine is the Black Sapphire Bongo 4 with the Piezo..." and then the guy behind the counter says "Damn sorry man don't have that one in yet."




should be comming next week but God this is hard!

The thread title implies that when you get that Bongo, you'll be content. That feeling will last until you see the next EBMM bass that makes your heart skip a beat. Could be an LE, could be a BFR, could be an anniversary model or a standard model in a different pickup configuration. You'll still love the Bongo, but the lust for new gear never goes away.

At least that's been my experience. I have three great EBMMs, including the ultimate Stingray, and I'm still anxiously awaiting the unveiling of the first BFR Bongo and the blue dawn 2007 LE Bongo. I know I have a problem.

I hate to say it bro, but you won't be content till you have purchased so many that your cards are maxed, you're eagerly awaiting that next paycheck, and you've given up on contacting your dealer for an "update".
I just pray that when I get my 1st bongo and sterling in, I decide that I'm good for another year.

Enjoy that Bongo when ya get it! The piezo is a really nice touch!
And if you have a problem...well, you should forget about this forum.
I can't...and now I'm like 4-5grand in the hole.

Well I never really gave up on contacting my dealer for updates they say that they never really know what is comming in the shipments

After sitting on the phone for so long I decided to give them suprise visists now and again just to keep them on their toes

don't do what I did and contact the wholesaler, he's not talking to me now...

I try not to think about my order coming in.
I still have up to a 2 month wait.
I've seen too many people tortured while waiting and am very scared to experience that.

Contentment is way overrated.

I never want to be completely content. There always has to be something just over the next hill, otherwise you pitch your tent and build a fire and wait for the bears to come eat you.

Dudley and Dargzilla and BP make it nearly impossible to be content these days. I mean, look at the list of instruments in my signature down there. What am I lacking? What am I missing? Do I really need anything?

Well, a 20th SR5 for starters......
I like to be in the "somewhat content" category. Thankful for what I've got and what I've experienced, but excited about what lies ahead, whatever that may be.
