Check out the black one they just got at TPB. Looks nice. Here's another shot of mine ... pretty good, but still doesn't do it justice. Just drop dead gorgeous, if ya like that kinda thing.

Nice!

Awesome, guys. Here's one.

Damn! That is sweet!
I bought the one from BC and the neck has minimal birdseye. I'm indifferent regarding birdseye vs flame, but I dig THAT flame over any birdseye!

Mine plays super smooth! I almost have it tweaked to my personal taste, where it just plays itself!
Played it at an outdoor gig last weekend and it sounded great through my GK rig (700RBII and 2 NEO 112's).

The Classic White is so hard to get a good picture of b\c they almost always end up looking Olympic or Ivory white. I pretty much gave up on taking good pics of mine!

As stated by others, it's VERY CREAMY in real life! :)

Classic in route to Canada

I just got word today that my Classic is ready and on its way to Canada. I'm super excited as it will be my first Musicman instrument. I always wanted one since I started playing 15 years ago.

I'll post pics when it gets here and I'll have to make a choice between white/rosewood or sunburst/maple. I plan to make my choice depending on the amount of birdseye and weight...The dealer will keep the other bass for stock.

I got my SR5 today.

I haven't taken my own pics yet as there are a couple of issues I need to sort out. Hopefully two of them can be solved by changing strings. The B sounds very "springy" and the D is dead. The G is kind of funny... the mute, though screwed all the way down, is still in contact with the string. The saddle is about where it should be and it's not like the string itself is so low that it's buzzing. I'm hoping that I can convince the mute to compress by sticking a plastic tag between it and the string for a day or two.

Does anyone have any other ideas before I resort to simply cutting it down?

On the upside, the bass itself is a beauty with a lovely flame maple neck and the weight... wait for it... a very manageable 9.3 pounds!

To prove it exists, here is one of the pics that James at TPB took. And he's a much better photographer than I am anyway.

You can kind of see the situation with the G mute here...

Beautiful! The flame does it, much better than birdseye imo.
