The boxes hold 15 sets of strings. Guitar Center had a big sale last weekend.. I grabbed 15 sets of Super Slinky strings. With the sale price they were under $4 per set.

Weird, cuz we only package our strings in boxes of 12. I wonder what GC's up to?

I thought I remembered buying strings by the dozen..

..but yes, in my local GC they had them boxed 15 sets to a box. I'll leave you to your investigation...

theres this complicated procedure that they go through at GC...

several steps:

1. Take 5 boxes of strings.
2. Empty one box of strings
3. Put 3 sets more into each remaining box, totaling 15.
4. Sell 3 more sets of strings each time you sell a box.
5. Make more money.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 as necessary.

Yes, it is strange, but last year I received several boxes with 13 packs in a box, go figure It only happened with the .009 strings - are they packed by weight or hand-packed? I thought you guys were hookin me up
