Does anyone know where I might be able to locate a used SUB1 hardtail? I used to have one, but ended up selling it a couple years ago to finance an amp purchase.

I've tried Ebay, which doesn't yield much luck, and when a SUB1 comes up, is usually a trem version, not a hardtail.

If someone has one for sale, and can point me in the right direction, I'd much appreciate it.

thanks!

Where are you based ?

I ask because on the long shot that you're a UK dweller Sound Control are knocking out NOS SUB1's at a price that makes it as cheap to buy a whole new SUB as it is to get your existing guitar refretted !:)

There is one listed at Music Go Round. I think the price is a bit high for a used though.

I believe Guitar Center at Hallendale Beach, Florida still has one. Blue, if my memory serves me, or graphite. Definitely hardtail. New though, but they probably will be aggressive with the price since it's been there awhile.

I just saw that one today. If it was about $100 less, I'd probably grab it. Music-Go-Round doesn't really do much haggling on price though. If I told them these were being sold for $350 before they were discontinued, maybe I'd have a chance at getting it cheaper?

I called the Guitar Center in Hallandale and they won't budge on the full price. They weren't very agressive with trying to get rid of them at all... they said the most they could do was 5% off. :(

Do a search for Sub1 as thread titles, then read, then you'll understand.

If you want a new one, I think there is one on the Musik Produktiv site (Musik Produktiv).
I don't know if they ship in the US ... (they ship everywhere in Europe).

2 brand new ones (both are single bridge humbucker, I believe), locally at Cherijon's Music in Harlingen, TX
317 S H St
Harlingen, TX 78550
(956) 425-1273
They might work with you on the price. I think one is like a dark maroon, and the other a dark (think midnight) blue.
Good luck.
