Hey! What's up? So, that's it.

I want to know where is located the Piezo on the JP6 guitar? I know what it does, but, I just don't know where it is. Can somebody please tell me? How does it work? I mean, I've seen it live, on videos and stuff.
But, I can't imagine how does it work. Is it like a Pickup? Please, don't get mad at me, it's just a question. Somebody let me know.

Thanks for Reading.

The bridge saddles are stamped underneath. Some have the letter "R" stamped on their base - some don't.
The ones that have the R are reverse polarity.

Each saddle has a small wire that passes through the bridge plate and are soldered to a printed circuit board, that in turn passes to the pre amp module.

I had to rebuild the system on a JP6 that I once owned and if you are interested you can see lots of photos showing the jp6 components here

Did you part ways with the JP? Wouldn't have thought you'd let that one go, after all the work you put into it

I did part ways with the JP. I had been using it live and it sounded and reacted great.

However, it was the only guitar in my possession that caused me to cramp up and this happened a couple of times into the second set of a live pub performance.

A fellow forumite PM'd me out of the blue and asked if I would consider selling it?

Second hand fully loaded JP6's are pretty rare in the UK and he made me an offer. We quickly agreed a price & I met him with the guitar when he was returning from holidays and he had it.

My JP6 ..... I was really indebted to FSmith who really busted a gut in many ways to get this guitar,he went and looked at it for me as it was advertised sooo cheap ($600 -I'm in the UK, the guitar was in the USA) he sorted out the pickup on it by removing the EVH pickup replacement and re instating the original JP6 pickup, he then packaged and mailed the guitar to me. (there was more to it than that, but that's the "high level" detail)

I REALLY enjoyed the challenge of sorting out that guitar. I never thought for one moment, when I bought it, that I would end up stripping it back to it's original Mystic Dream finish!

It's well loved and in great hands, so it lives to fight another day. Do I regret doing it? No way loved it!
