You're looking at the "For Sale" section...
There are some guitars for sale here, but you have to hunt them down...

A seperate for sale section would be a nice addition.

but it's a EBMM forum, I don't think I would be a good idea to do buy-sell section... People would join the forum only to sell their stuff...

let ebay pay for the bandwidth..& all the buyer protection...& the palpays & the whatnot.....
i'd rather keep ebmm working on new GUITAR stuff..... :)

I have to agree with Tommy. There's lot of room here in signatures and OT posts when someone has EBMM gear to sell. And you only need post that you're looking for something to to get a dozen guys jumping in with a helpful suggestion. Let eBay do what it's good at.

Just my two (Canadian) cents.

i know i have not been here long as a member a few days, but i also agree we dont need a sell section, thats what ebay is for and other sites who have it, i think it woudl make alot of people to join just for that and could cause more chances for people getting ripped off etc....

i like this forum just the way it is....

but hey i am new so my say dont have much power, but offering it anyways..

Lots of companies have a Trading Post so-to-speak forum for that purpose. We do seem to get a fair share of For Sales, and eBay Listing announcements that it would be a nice idea. If for no other reason than to organize them and keep other forums from cluttering up. Either ban the practice altogether, or have them organized.

Read the posts, search the forums, and go to eBay. Can it get any more easier than that?

No "areas", no "separate sections", no "stickies", and no whining...we TALK about the gee-tars here, and occasionally someone DOES sell 'em here. It's a way of life, and that's how we roll here.

People will still sign up just to sell their EBMM 6/7 here, and then high tail out once done. It's happened since I joined back in Dec '02, and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

Just get your hands on an EBMM (somehow!), and STFU. :D

later...

I joined mainly to BUY more EVH EBMM, but soon found this to be one of the best run forums on the net. I've learned a lot about these guitars since starting here.

The fact that the parent company supports and contributes here makes this forum very different (in a good way) from the others I have frequented in the past. Having Q and A with artists isn't a bad thing either.

I guess I should have been a little more clear speaking...MOST of everyone who signs up to sell gear sells and bails.

Dan and Brett are part of a minority from that group, and though there might be more around or in hiding, I've seen plenty of "in and outs" over my 3 years here.

Dan and Brett, we're glad to have ya, kids...thanks for going outside the lines in this regard, and sticking around. :)

No problem. To this date I have yet to sell and EBMM - I'm only buying. Here's the latest...
