I remember I saw Music Man pic from Steve Morse cover of Coast to Coast album. Since then I was so curious about that cool guitar, but like I said before Lucious is the real man who inspired me to get myself this beautiful guitar, I'm very into Lucious music and sound, and when the time is come without any second thought I bought myself this cool guitar and start making the real music. I'm so proud that I make my mark on a recording deal with my band with my Luke. and the rest is history.

All BS aside, Jack Williams got me playing EBMM when I "met" him years ago on another web community. I thought to myself, "a guy this intelligent, funny, kind and well-spoken probably knows what he's talking about." So, on a complete leap of faith, I ordered a Bongo from Musician's Friend shortly after they came on the market. It's the absolute best instrument I've ever laid hands on. Thank goodness for Jack or I'd also have missed out on the incredible sense of belonging and community I now have from being in the EBMM "family."

Mr EVH is the reason I play EBMM guitars. I loved the album F.U.C.K. when it came out, and loved the tones he was getting. I bought my purple EVH, and have since bought 4 more (well Axis guitars). Without EVH I would not be playing EBMM. I would have gone down the PRS or Gibson route instead.

He is the one who got me to look at EBMM. I knew Morse was playing them, but I wasn't really familiar with his music at all at that time. I lusted after EVH's sig model, but I just couldn't afford it back then. For me, it was that same album that got me.

Flash forward to JP sigining on with EBMM. I gave EBMM a second look, because I'm a DT "fanatic," as daveb said. A couple of years later, I was able to latch on to one of those GC creative financing deals to get a bare bones, Pearl Redburst JP6. Were it not for JP, I don't think I would have given EBMM a second look.

I didn't find out about EB guitars until 2002 when my father and I took over the music store. At that time my girlfriend wanted me to stock EB strings, and once I began carrying EB strings and accessories she made sure to let me know that she wanted a 7 string JP signature model. That's when I found out about the guitars. One evening, after months of pestering my my sales rep to let me carry guitars, I got a call on my cell phone from Scott and placed my opening order. A few months later a Silhouette came in, shortly followed by an Axis SuperSport, SUB1, and a JP6 & JP7. After playing the JP6 I was hooked, and began scouring the net for a loaded Blue Dawn. I found one, grabbed it, and since then I haven't looked for electrics anywhere else.

I'm not really sure if that means I was inspired to play EB guitars by an artist

Sidenote about my Blue Dawn JP - see thread about me moving to france hahaha

For me, it was years ago. Steve Morse. I wasn't able to get one until about 5 years ago. Then it was al AL, an AXIS, a Silhouette, a Luke, a Pet, etc.

EVH for me. I think the advertising that EBMM did for the EVH sig was as good as any advertising I have ever seen for a guitar. I have had my EVH since 1993 and cherish it to this day!

Saw Albert Lee and Vinnie Moore clinics in Michigan very close together. Had never heard of the company. Major GAS started that day at Albert's clinic. Vinnie's followed and that sealed the deal. Bought an Axis that week. I was not a big "chicken pickn" / country music fan but had nothing to do so I went to Albert's clinic. Man am I glad I did. :)

I first came across EBMM guitars at a guitar show. Tried the Axis and loved it. Ordered one and then couldn't get on with it. I prefer HB, SC, SC format. Recently bought a Luke and have been totally blown away with it.

I've been a EC strat man for years and now I don;t even get them out of the case, I always reach for my Candy Red Luke. I've love to buy a BFR Luke but the price in UK is huge!

I got into Steve Lukather after playing the Luke so my story is a bit back to front really.

Keep on rockin!

No particular artist inspired me to get an EBMM.

I'd played a friend's Stingray and thought that it was amazingly good quality and so easy to play (I'd only ever played basses with really high actions).

I saw a review in a magazine of the Axis Sport and I thought to myself that it looked like a fantastic guitar, plus the review said that it was excellent. I ordered one, without even playing it and have never looked back.

No big name artist, really. I had heard of Music Man basses, but never played one. I wasn't really looking for a new rig. In fact, I had just taken my old P-bass out of storage after a 14 year hiatus from bass when Tommy shows up at a rehearsal with a Stealth Bongo HH. It was love at first note! (side note to BP - Tommy is a really effective pusher!:D;))

I literally told him at the end of rehearsal when he went to take it from me to put it back in the case - "Over my cold, dead body are you getting this back!" I wrote the check to Pete the next day.

I work by the: good enough for JP.. good enough for little old me.

As posted previously, I didn't even try it out (heck, I was playing a $65 special before that, and I adapted, so I had no doubts I could 'make do' with JP's axe of choice)

Both Dweezil Zappa and Blues Saraceno inspired me to buy an Albert Lee. Now if only EBMM would make a humbucker version of the AL for the rest of us folks.... :p

Still love mine single coils and all. It's a keeper.

John Petrucci influenced me... I had long since discovered that the neck and pickup layout was exactly what I had been looking for for years, and I had wanted a seven string in that configuration since I got my first JPM. But, Ibanez never offered it. When JP moved to EB and the seven was offered, I wanted one instantly.

A friend of mine got a seven string JPM and I played it. It was confirmed that it was what I was after, and the Piezo was very intriguing to me after playing it too.

So, I got one, and have been hoping for financial circumstances to come along to get a 6 string with piezo ever since... then my 7 got stolen, and pretty much killed any more hope of that at least until I graduate and get to working... except that student loans are going to see that I don't get too many gadgets any time soon.

It's amazing how a thief can change so many of your plans on so many fronts.

But, I eventually played an Axis and later a Silo Special, and loved them too. So now I pretty much want one of everything. LOL
