How about that old Dude?

Well Jack, it pretty much was a no brainer once all the random brain cells clicked together in unison....I dare say that some of these BC new models will wind up to be "One Offs" and quite rare in the future...I'm "kooky like dat" sometimes.

I scare myself most days when the lightbulb goes on and I see things.

I've been thinking about this for a while now and I'm in a position (or will be in a few days) to get myself a NEW bass!

My first thought was of course a Gibson, but BP said if I did, I'd have to give up my secret decoder ring.

So I'm interested in what you guys would do if you were in my situation:
Hey Bo - are you going to wait for a tie-breaker here, or do you have a cut-off date in mind?

He already tried this on The Pit and didn't get any definitive, runaway winner...it's a losing battle but a winner any way he goes really when you think of it. Any way he goes it's still an EBMM bass, besides, we already know he will eventually own all of them at some point right?? :D

In this poll the SR5 HH was the winner with 41 votes cast....

ps: Even though Jack is my authorized EBMM sales geek all basses must be shipped from the factory to me to my location in AZ is where VBTC is registered so I will lick and otherwise "soil" in any way I care to whatever bass he gets first.

Bleeb dat!

Jack, your son needs new shoes, clothes and school books. The car is old and should be changed. We didn't get any holidays since...(I can't even remember it) and we still have bills to pay and a mortgage on the house...and you have more bongos than you need. So forget about those new models, and please, don't be late at home this evening.

As one of those who knows Jack's tastes, you are wasting your time if you vote for anything other than the SR5 H/H. That is what he'll end up getting. :D

Jack, I went for the 5 with HS.

I know you likes ya 5's and I think you may get just that extra tonal versatility from the HS config.....

If those are the only options, I voted HH SR5.

But what, no love for the old standards? Might I suggest a 2 band 'Ray?

:D

I'm reading it, but I don't understand

How does the Sterling 5 differ from the Stingray 5?

I caught the leak...just not a 5'r-type. In fact, I traded my Lakland Skyline 55-01 for the Sabre I now proudly own!

Jack,

I am partial to the SR4 HH, but then again I suck at playing the 5 (well I suck at playing the 4 too). The best i can describe the B on the Sr5 is "mean". There is so much beef to these new basses you guys will flip. Dudley will once again blow your minds. I seriously can't wait for these suckers to hit the streets. I mean a Stingray/Sterling with the same bridge PUP location plus a neck PUP with four other switch positions plus a 3 band EQ for only $100 extra RETAIL????????
