But if you must get a signature, why does it make sense to have your hero sign an instrument that has nothing whatsoever to do with them? I could see a bass that the guy actually used getting signed, or possibly a "signature model" bass (e.g. Modulus Flea signed by Flea), but your own bass?
The Bongos signed by BP and Dudley make sense because they're the guys behind the design. Would you have BP sign your Squier?
true that, but, asking why get autographs? is like asking why look at Pamela Anderson?...ummm....maybe the question should be why not?
I dig the autograph thang, and besides,Lee Sklar's bass looks awesome with it's autographs
