Like the title asks, just curious to see which models were available in Koa as well as curious if it will be a normal production option or limited time only

thx

With the BFR they run as long as EBMM wants.

There was a limited run of Axis Super Sports done for Musicians Friend

The LUKE as well as JP are offered in KOA currently too.

There's a koa Luke at DuBaldo's. Understand that the neck is finished. Absolutely beautiful guitar.

I remember somebody, maybe BP, saying that the necks have to be finished because they are Mahogany and it will warp if they don't. Correct me if Im wrong...

Apologies for digging up such an old thread, I'm trying to locate the details of the KOA BFR Axis Super Sport, is the neck "finished" mahogany ?

No kidding. DAMN! How do I get one?!? But it should have had gold hardware, methinks...

I have a JP and a Luke in koa. If I'd known they made a ASS koa, I'd likely have one of those too. I agree about the hardware needing to be gold though.

I've never seen one either. I'm amazed that I haven't to be honest. I am a complete sucker for koa and I've always wanted an ASS. I think I'd have to get one with a trem though...and the gold hardware is just sexy on a koa guitar.

I have a koa BFR Luke II. I don't know if it is more due to the koa top, mahogany neck and body, or the ebony fretboard (the ebony probably has a lot to do with this) but the tone is unique. Very quick and immediate sparkly attack to the notes. Lovely scooped hi-fi sound, especially with the single coils.

Special run for 2016: koa top, mahogany or even better: black limba body, roasted maple neck, ebony fretboard, satin finish, black hardware. Available on JP bfr, jp15, luke, ass or whatever remain, some bass too, etc.

...one can dream.
