A student of mine had a blue one. It's a beautiful color in person. Personally, I don't like the "vintage yellow" tinted varnish on maple necks (on any brand of guitar) so if you can find one with a roasted neck, even better, because you'll have the oil and wax finish instead. The roasted necks are just lovely, even if it has no flame or figuring to speak of.
Good point that I didn’t know if rather have the oil wax finish.

Lsst year I was in a local shop when someone had just brought in an immaculate used Firemist Silver Cutlass HSS with roasted maple neck and it had the most intense tiger striped flamed neck from the headstock all the way to the last fret. I had first dibs on it and could have gotten it for cheap before it officially hit the shelves (it sold almost immediately)-- I didn't buy it because I was still saving for my Valentine, but it was one of the nicest playing guitars ever-- and so nice looking. It took me a while to see the Cutlass body shape as something better than a "wonky strat copy", but now I really dig it.

So my vote is Firemist Silver. That sunbust one pictured above is pretty slick too.

It’s a pretty cool humbucker, but if it’s not what you want, try to be patient.
You know what thinking of it now I really don’t use the bridge single coil on my strat all that much because not found of the sound. Maybe the humbucker is the way to go

I really like the humbucker in these. It's doesn't scream "I'M A HUMBUCKER!" It's just a great bridge sound in a way that a lot of lower output hums are not. This is what the virtual paf (or whatever it's called) in my silo wishes it was.
