hi gys ...

i am looking for a used 400-450 or less range budget ... probably 300W and above bass head ...

just got a couple head what do you think ...

Ampeg b2r
Hartke 7000

that's what i got so far
any comments on those :p :)

A GREAT amp in that approx. price range for you would be a used Ampeg SVT 3 Pro. When I had mine I got it used in great condition for $450 on Harmony Central. Very flexible and 450 watts into 4 ohms if I remember correctly. Great head (for not being a Mesa). :p

Stay away from the B2R. Not to down Ampeg, but that thing is NOT their greatest invention... I had mine for about 6 hours and had to take it back. On the other hand, the SVT 3 Pro is a fine head for the money and I've also had plenty of luck w/ Hartke over the years...

I know this wasnt one of the choices, but I'd go with Gallien-Krueger, maybe a 700RB or 1001RB. LOTS of bang for the buck.
