HI EB forum!
I’m a regular EB player, and ive been registered on here for a few years now.
I have a few questions re: what cabs you guys use with your lightweight amps.
I currently use Orange AD200b Mk3/cabs, Aguilar Cabs (DB Series) and a Markbass Littlemark 3. The Orange gear is fantastic for all out rock n roll, and the Aguilar cabs with any head really shine.
I am looking to get a 2 x 112 setup (or similar) for my Markbass head which I’ve just bought. I already have large heavy cabs…and yes they sound awesome, but I want something modular/small/light if possible. I’ve just joined a covers band just to make a little money and get some experience so I need a smaller rig.
I have a few options…
I was thinking of two Aguilar DB112s….even though I already own Aguilar DB cabs with 12” speakers, the 112s are quite impressive.
I also thought about Markbass cabs, but they don’t seem to have the following that the amps do. This might be completely wrong. I am in the UK so we have different trends over here.
I was also looking into Epifani, but I was a little shocked to see they had changed the weight and started to make them elsewhere with hardly any info on their site.
I don’t think Schroeder cabs are right for me….I want a nice warm round yet clear and punchy bass tone.
I looked into Bergantino..its a shame more dealers don’t stock these. But the prices we pay here in the UK are vastly increased from the prices in the USA.
What would you all suggest?
Thanks
