I finally got me a JP6, it's a 2005 LE Buttercream. Awesome guitar. Since scaling back and selling my less expensive guitars I've decided to get one more Ball and have the choice of a fully loaded JP6 Pearl Redburst with the d-sonic or a Silhouette 20th with tremolo bridge, the top really sucks bad too. I play classic rock and metal so which one will suite me more? Is the neck on the 20th close to the Axis neck and would the 20th be more of a classic rock to country guitar vs. the JP.

FWIW, the 20th Silo is no longer made, but the JP6 is. Might want to jump on the 20th...

I don't have a JP, can't comapare but I have a 20th, and it covers A LOT of ground. Awesome guitar!

I'd go for the 20th. The JP, even with the D-sonic, won't be all that different from the one you have now. And the 20ths are becoming rare commodities. BP says the 20th is quite possibly the greatest guitar ever to come out of his factory.

Buy the 20th:D (If you really don't like it will not be hard to sell again.)

then save and save and save and save up your money again, then buy a BFR JP

Thats the right thing to do trust me:cool:

Yeah, I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on the 20th. It would give me a lot more versitility having both the JP and the 20th. Is the neck closer to the Axis, does it have a little chunk to it? One more thing, do the pups have a little bite to them?

Yep the neck has more chunk to it, not quite an axis but not thin like a JP and for me I have zero problem getting bite out of the PUPS

Grab the 20th all the way - the necks are great on the silos - I personally didnt bond with the JP so I am biased but the silos are my favorite of the MM line - you cant go wrong with it, the pups are slighty on the vintage side but you can always change the bridge if you need to to a duncan or something with a cover, its a no brainer -

:DWell it seems to be unanimous, the 20th it is. I can't wait should have it next week, just in time for a little x-mas cheer. Wild West Guitars has two and I decided on the flametop w/rosewood fretboard and trem. Look awesome. Thanks for everyone's input.

Listen to the others!!!

I have both - and my advice is - deffinitely go the 20th. This baby spells magic, smells quality.

Basically, it's so good you 'd be inclined to consider selling all the other guitars.:D But stay calm, that will come and go away from time to time.

Serously, the 20 th is quite a speicial instrument, that is worth buying every time. You get the BFR, remember that (with all the mahog tone block and premium top stuff)
