Okay, so I just got my clear pickguard in from theperfectbass.com, and now have a dilemma. Do I put it on the Sapphire Black SR, along with the Phil Lynott photo I have underneath; do I put it on my new Dargie II so I can see more of the beautiful finish, while placing the black pickguard on the other SR; do I keep the Dargie stock, put the clear back on the sapphire black, but try and come up with a better photo?

Having two pickups makes it tough to come up with a good photo to place beneath it. I like the clear guard on the Dargie, but, I also like the black one.

Your opinions please.

I like interesting PGs. I might not have chosen Lynott, but it's a cool pic.

The Dargie needs a guard, though, not a clear one. IMO.

Yeah, cool pic. I'd have gone horizontal with the pic, however.
I'm really diggin' the clear p/g on that Dargie tho....just works with the double buck.

I agree that the Dargie needs pickguard that ain't clear.
Nice idea to show off the color. But I think the black pg just balances the green.

As Phil didn't play a MM bass, to my knowledge anyway, I voted the black guard on the black bass.....Classic
And I love that green...so seeing more of it is cool

I like the clear on the Dargie. And Black on Sapphire black sounds like a classy combo. Do that.

Listen to me.

My Decision......

For those that took the poll- I decided not to use the clear pickguard at the moment. After borrowing the black pickguard off the Dargie to place on my Sapphire Black model, I've come to the conclusion that I love the way the black guard looks on the Sapphire black SR.
