The bottom half of the STHB are 11's. They are very nice for down-tuning, drop D is very nice, so is standard Eb or drop Db. Standard D is fine. You can even get away with crazier things like CGDGBE or C#G#C#F#BE. For standard tuning I think 10s are better.
Of course it all depends on the scale of your guitar.
