*I* understand that, as do most of us here, and I'm sure there's lots of people out there who understand it as well. The problem is, to me, that for alot of people, it's not Apples and Oranges, it's Apples and Apples. They don't see any real difference other than the logo, if that.

Agreed.
But it only bothers a lot of us here because we are in love with the DIFFERENCE.
No serious guitar player could possibly expect $1500+ quality in a $200 instrument. So if they really know the difference or not really doesn't matter. It only does to us.

Why!?

Because we're ADDICTED!

I agree on all sides when it comes to the OLP because I own one. I have the OLP MM1F and for spending $250 for it, I am pleased. When I bought the guitar I was fully aware that it was not made by Ernie Ball, but licensed to (OH... crap... Brain fart) WHO MAKES BC RICH NOW? That's the company that is making them over seas and Sterling licensed the design out. The differences between the two are night and day.

NOW BLACKSPY to answer your question I would undoubtedly go with with guitar with the description of the AXIS. However, I know that I cannot afford the real deal yet so I went with the OLP and I cannot wait to get the real deal. I work for an Elementary School and I am changing positions so I had no income for the summer. Now that I have my new job starting in two weeks and the finances coming back in... I'm goin for the REDWOOD AXIS with a PIZEO...

OK... MY BAD> I meant Rosewood... Red wood would be kinda nasty... too soft!

AS FOR the PM's! YEAH I WAS ONE! NOw i have to say that when I sent BP the private message. I was new to the forum and didn't realize who BP was. I was trying to get as much information about EBMM instruments and such... Unbenounced to me I went straight to the source himself. Once I realize that BP was the BIG BAD MAMAJAMMA HIMSELF (AKA STERLING) the messages stoped.

BP... you were to kind to take the time to answer each of my PM's. I appreciate it and for what's it's worth i'm no longer playing PRS strings and I've switched over to EB's. They really suit my playing style and acidic fingers better than everything else out there.

LOL, just think of me as an employee working on your behalf! You should be paying me. I guess the only problem is I should footnote my reference!

So what do I owe you then? 15 cents?
I'll mail you a Canadian quarter and call it even.
Actually, the stamp will cost me 50-75 cents.
Just run me a tab! ;)
