White-Black Pickup Covers

I've been asked this question a couple of times this week and realized that I didn't really remember what the answer was.

Straight from Dargin:

"The two pickup basses will only have black covers, while the single pickup Stingray 5 will come with white covers if it has a white / white pearl pickguard."

is that because the new picups are shaped like bongo pickups and the one pickup sr5s have the same shaped pickup that they've always had?

IIRC the two pickup 'Rays have the standard pickup in both positions.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong though.

Ja, the new models have the newer pickup covers, at least from what I've seen. Here're some pics of the two pickup SRs:
