White BONGOS ................

I tried a search, and could not find anything conclusive, other than there are a few out there. Whats the story with the white Bongos? Are they available? Were they available? Will they be available? Im new to this side of the board, so forgive me if this has been discussed before ..............
Id love to get my hands on one !

They were available. The story is that it was impossible to get the paint on the neck to match the paint on the body, so it was discontinued.

There are a few out there. What happened is that there were production problems getting the neck and body paint to match - so the white Bongo went away (with the occasional custom popping up).

Now, I was wondering with the rosewood necks if they would do it... but that is better left to the experts.

That is a negative on the white bongo, even with a rosewood neck. You'll have to hunt down the elusive few that escaped early on. They are the "great white buffalo" of the Music Man bass family...

White is my favorite Bongo finish. I was fortunate enough to find one new back in 2004 before I knew anything about white being discontinued.
