Lisa ~ just out of curiousity, is this your only bass? If not, do not lower your price just to get that new Sterling.

Even if it is your only bass, don't give it away! We all know what these beauties are worth!

I (personally) would just set the price at the current BIN price you have listed (no other bidding), plus the $30 shipping fee.

That's a killer deal in itself!

Actually you are better off upping the price $30 & offering free shipping. People will go for it if they think they are getting something for free. It has worked for me countless times.....esp. on basses.

Actually, you're right! That psychology works.

That is actually a good idea. I wish I would have done it. I considered it but thought about how it gives Ebay a bigger chunk but yet the psychology of it probably would have made up for that in increased bids.

People are crazy. It only went to $710 last time on Ebay (reserve was $850) and it is sitting at $710 now. This is a fine USA made instrument that sounds amazing!!!!

Don't forget that, given people actually want to spend the money, bidders may be waiting to snipe in the last few minutes.

It's definitely rivals poker as a game of bluffing.

I'm in BIG trouble, I bid on a bass last night before I went to bed, I wasn't THAT drunk, but I woke up this morning and have won a non EBMM bass... fool!

The good news it that the wife has motivated me to starting the long put off eBay store! Anybody want to buy a pair of assless pants, plasma, broken plates, melted credit cards???

Yeah, yeah, I suppose if all your friends were buying Foderas, you'd go buy a Fodera, too?

"I tried a Yamaha bass at a party once. Everyone was playing it! They said nothing could go wrong...."

Tell it to BP, Naked Man.
