I looked but couldn't find an answer to this...sorry if it's been discussed at length. What happened to white Bongo's, anyway? I'm told they're not sold in white anymore but was curious why.

Matching the gloss white on the body to the matte flat white on the neck became a difficult task, so they decided to stop offering the Bongo in white...
That, and it made it really look like a toilet seat... but I'm sure that had nothing to do with it...

If I remember correctly, it was very difficult to match the exact color of the body with the neck.

I'm a fan of the Bongo shape! I'd personally kill to get my hands on a white one!
But I just wanted to mention the toilet thing before someone else did... kill the horse early...

Andrew, I had a "laughing" attack after I read that!!!! I appreciate "laughing attacks", (especially at my age) their good for the soul and adds length of life! BTW, meowwwwwwwwwww I support PETA!!

White Bongo escaped just off the coast of Port San Luis back in '03-'04 sometime and has only been sighted by whale watchers near Point Conception. Whereabouts still unknown.
Wasn't it that Ahab guy. Heard he was really obsessed about finding the white bongo.

I had some questions for the PETA folks...I'm genuinely curious, but on reflection I've decided to withdraw them...... don't want to be misunderstood and thereby get anyone upset.
PS FYI in case you PETA folks question my morality: I own two retired greyhounds. They're not "rescued." They're "retired." I object to the "rescue" concept.
Tomorrow I'm spending the entire day trying to get people to adopt more greyhounds...but only because they're beautiful, wonderful pets, not because of any political agenda.
Ah hell...derailing the thread. Never mind.

Most toilet seats are white, aren't they?
