If I see someone get on stage with Maple....I think Rock or Metal.

If I see someone get on stage with Rosewood...I think Blues or Jazz.

Kind of a wierd post but I see the point.

I personally like both and benefit from each's tonal quality but I don't know if I'd judge a player by which one he used.

Just my 2 cents worth, I'd like to see a JP model with both a birdseye neck and birdseye fingerboard :O) I like the rosewood models andhave two of them but I would buy a maple/maple in a heartbeat!

It's common knowledge that rosewood players are stoners and maple players are gay.

Other than that, I have no stereotypes.

Maple and rosewood are both great woods in their own ways.

On a completely aesthetic level, I think that worn maple fretboards looks really awesome.
