Who here doesn't have an Ernie Ball, yet still posts or lurk? Why?
I'll start. Years ago, I had an EVH and later had a Silouette Special. I sold them for financial reasons. I miss the Sil and will someday get another one.
I found the forum after I sold them and now check in every day. I like the regulars who post here and the friendly nature, but mostly I like to look at the guitars. EVERY EBMM I see is a work of art. Also, hearing the users rave about them proves they are more than just good looking.
I do my own fretwork and they come out pretty good. One day there was a closeup of the frets showing Jon's work. I was amazed, they were perfectly round. I wanted to see if it made a difference, so I redid one of my necks. I used a triangle file and spent about 5 minutes on each fret. I made sure they were as perfect as Jon's. It took a long time and alot of effort, but the results were amazing. Paying attention to the details made a big difference. EBMM does that to all their guitars; they spend the time to make them perfect instead of just cranking them out.
Someday, I'll hit the lottery, pay off my bills and use the leftover to get some nice EBMMs. I'll post pics when I get them,,,,till then, I'll look and crave.
